Something to Brag About

I can't even begin to tell you how lucky I feel to be part of a family that is so close - and so - cool. I'm figuring out the older I get that the family I have is a very rare thing. And I honestly couldn't ask for a better group of people to be related to.

It's very normal to talk to talk to 2 aunts, 4 cousins, Skype with 3 nieces and nephews and schedule date night with another cousin at least every week. Some of my best and closest friends are my extended family.

This past weekend my mom decided it was way past time to have a Beattie family reunion of sorts with her brothers and sisters and their kids. And it was SO much fun to just get together, eat (of course), and visit.

We will definitely have to do this more often!Kaylie and Lola picnicing on the blanket!Ali and Iz - Aunt and Niece!
Trent and Linc - Uncle and nephew! Although some would argue that they look just alike......
Trent and date - don't want to say too much and jinx it! Aren't they cute though??
Now here's a fun story - My mom is one of 8 children. All 8 of those siblings are getting at least one new grandbaby in between March and October. There is a total of 11 new babies coming to our family this year and we all can't be more excited! Lincoln started the group off, Eve came next, Millie followed Eve but was in New York during the picture, and the first set of twins, Straton and Emery round out the top 5! Let's just say family reunions are going to be a hoot when all these babies are 2!! Especially since only 3 of the 11 are girls! This is a picture of 4 of the first 5 and 2 more are scheduled to make their arrival within the next 3 weeks!! So I definitely think this is a family to brag about!

I'm sad I missed it! I can only be comforted by a full night sleep since there are no more new babies from the Hanson's. Josh looks like he should drive a truck.

are you trying to put a dager in my heart. I was sad last Saturday when I knew you were all together but now seeing pictures I am full on depressed that wasn't there. Your mom did promise we could do it again when I am in town. I also love our family and wouldn't trade it for the world we are seriously lucky. I would dare to say that 5 of my cousins are my closest friends. Love you all!
