About how if you want something done right....or at least done - do it yourself. Although - after the lesson I learned - I decided that next time I'll just wait. Some things are just meant to be done by husbands.
I get off work at 3. With the exception of Tuesdays (b/c I teach piano after work) my days are completely open. So - last Friday - I took off work early and went to lunch and shopping with my mother. In the midst of shopping - I showed my mom my new favorite pedicure place. So we stopped. Had pedicures and got our feet feeling great.
Upon my return home - I drove into my driveway and looked at my front lawn that hadn't been mowed in 3 weeks. (Technically Brad will tell you 2 - but this day was Friday - and Saturday would have been 3.) So - tired of asking.....I decided - I'm a big girl - it's my grass too - I'll do it myself. So - I mow the front lawn - and go to re-fuel - to find there is no fuel. Which is why the lawn hasn't been mowed.....so - being blessed to live in the city - decide to head 1/4 mile away from the house and re-fuel the can! Yep. Then I start on the back lawn. Mow all but two strips before the hubby gets home and finishes the two strips - and probably took credit in his mind for the whole thing!
ANYWAY - As I go inside - I realize - I have just mowed the whole yard in flip flops and my newly minted, cucumber heeled, paraffin waxed feet - are now stained a fresh color of green and the paint on one of my toes is smuged. I feel like I need another pedicure. Or at least a new paint job.
Maybe one day I'll mow the lawn again - but it definitely won't be after a pedicure. Or in flip flops. Sigh.

Ha Ha! I always decide that my bathroom needs a good scrub right after I get a beatiful french tip manicure. (Big Sigh) The perils of home ownership!
I want a pedicure now. And grass. I hope you didn't ruin your vintage flipflops :)
